CAPITAL DRAWING GROUP (Andrew Copper, Enda Deburca, Dean Kenning & John Russell)
Capital Drawing group

'Capital is dead labour which, vampire-like, lives only by sucking living labour, and lives the more, the more labour it sucks. The time during which the worker works is the time during which the capitalist consumes the labour-power he has bought from him.' KARL MARX, Capital Vol. 1

Capital Drawing Group grew out of a Marx reading group which continues at the Royal Festival Hall. Our project to collectively illustrate Das Kapital is an attempt to visualise the economic and political forces that dominate out lives today as described by Marx. The ongoing work is to be understood as a reading and as a resource. We have made posters and a video flip-book for two exhibitions (London and Utrecht). We have also utilised our images for talks and teaching. A websiteIllustrating Capital is under construction.
